i've been home for almost exactly 3 days now and, funnily enough, i'm actually having blogging withdrawals. i still find myself composing blog lines in my head, or trying to construct my days into neat little presentable packages... the only problem is that i'm not doing much of anything exciting at all.
friday, i did nothing but feel overwhelmed and hang out with my family a little bit
saturday, i hung out with greg during his detroit layover and spent the rest of the day (and i mean literally the entire day) running errands with my dad. we went pretty much everywhere you can imagine and got lost on our running shoe shopping misadventure/fiasco. then i went to a party with my crew and got to see (almost) everyone which was good
sunday, i woke up feeling like shit... which continued all day. so all i did was attempt to unpack/organize all my shambles for the cousins who are coming tonight (!!!), talk to krista for literally about 7 hours, and watch tv... thriller, i know
today, i took my camera to best buy and found out accidental damage is covered by the insurance. then i lay around "watching the dog" aka watching more shitty tv... the afternoon isn't looking like it's going to be much more exciting either, at least until the french arrive in the evening. i have a to-do list a mile long, which is quite sad after the wonderfully crazy busy, but free, summer i had.
the return to real life is almost equal, if not more, shocking than the actual cultureshock and jetlag of returning to the US. i'm riding the strugglebus a little bit, which i expected but still don't particularly enjoy... especially since i'm sick. today is august 1, which would be day 73... i wish it was day 73. perhaps i will be back on here to document any of the notable summer days ahead of me. i don't anticipate there being many, but perhaps life will surprise me... it tends to do so
