sing a happy working song

day 44: sunday
- woke up at 10 and lazied around in bed until caryn got home around 11... made english-inspired breakfast again (!!!)
- organized my souvenirs, threw away the things i can't take back, started packing, and looked through pictures with caryn and kari (who came over to snag some cereal) finished packing while kari and caryn ran some last day errands
- showered, shared caryn's last box of spiral mac 'n' cheese, checked into my flight online and walked down to the postbox by tiffany's to mail my last italian postcard. i wandered down to one of my favorite bridges and stood watching the sunlight glisten on the water while the wind blew my hair everywhere... i will miss soaking up the sun and going down to the river to think, i'm so glad our last day is back to the beautiful perfect weather we enjoyed for the first 4.5 weeks of our trip (thanks to all the rain!) but it makes it even harder to leave!
- hung out in our room, finally uploaded all of my italy pictures to facebook, skyped greg for a little bit until kari came over again and we three shwolfs had one last cooking/jam session in our kitchen while we ate up all our food. notable featured artists included: biebs, katy perry, spice girls, backstreet boys, britney spears... the usual
- kari, caryn, mike and i went out to one of "our" gelaterias just past piazza republica for one last gelato run... as usual i got mint and raspberry, even though they don't go together at all, because they are my absolute favorite flavors ever
- the final five (kari, caryn, mike, alex and i) went out to the old stove, mostly for old times' sake, for one last drink. we hung out at our usual table, talked about the music (which went from awkward R&B to big sean... and back) and watched these older drunk ladies dancing and being foolish.
- around midnight we decided to head home... we all said farewell to kari at the point where our streets split, which was quite sad. then caryn and i said goodbye to mike and alex on our landing for the last time. i'm so sick of goodbyes!
- caryn and i tackled the shithole that was our apartment: she cleaned the bathroom while i attacked the kitchen (dishes, sink, fridge, etc). ACCENT never told us what to do with our trash, so we just took 3 huge bags down to the alleyway by our apartment and left them there... we figured someone would take care of it, considering gucci is just down the street.
- talked to krista about her first day of english adventures and settled down to bed ready for the long travel day ahead
