- woke up at 7:30 and went to class. finished my reflection paper & turned it in
- back to the apartment for leftover pasta lunch with caryn
- headed out towards circus maximus with david, brandon, joe, dylan and caryn to start the day's adventures
- went back to the palatine and the forum for a more thorough explore. i got in for a reduced rate (like at pompei!) for being an EU citizen under 25, which was awesome. i made myself a daisy chain crown, played in the flowers and climbed over ruins, which was all good fun. caryn and i got to visit the temple and house of the vestal virgins and pay homage to the inspirations for our halloween costumes. seriously though, the vestal virgins were sweet. the highlight of my visit, however, was finding the flower i remember from when i visited the forum when i was 12. that was when i first understood the scale and craftmanship that went into each detail of every temple, it was incredible to find it again
- walked back past trajan's forum towards the argentina stop and the theatre of pompeii where the kitty sanctuary is! i got the privilege of photographing caryn, brandon and dylan frolicking with their feline friends. it wasn't too bad, but after about half hour my nose and throat were getting quite itchy (and they were closing up anyway) so we left
- went souvenir shopping with caryn down the streets behind trevi and the pantheon. i had to pee so badly we waited in line at mcdonald's for 20 minutes before continuing on our mission.
- took the tram back home, exhausted once again after a long day of sightseeing
- tried to make dinner, only to discover our meat had gone bad. so i made an emergency trip to simply for fresh supplies!
- went down to our favorite gelateria one last time with kari as a reward for her finishing her reflection paper
- uploaded pictures to facebook, talked to greg and blogged... failing, once again, to actually get to bed before midnight.
