pictures of last night, ended up online i'm screwed...

day 32: tuesday
- woke up and, reluctantly, got out of bed and went to the bargello for our tour of the museum and piazza della signoria with rocky. he's a great guide and told us about all the sculptures in the piazza. once inside the bargello, he had us look at a lot of donatello sculpture - we saw two different davids and a guild scuplture and his description of them was all to give us the context for michelangelo's david when we go to visit that (on our own time, unfortunately) we also looked at two bronze relief panels that were the finalists in a competition to do 28 panels on the east doors of the baptistry... it was really cool to have two of the "same" pieces side-by-side to understand the differences aesthetically.
- went home and took a nap for a few hours. i was absolutely exhausted.
- showered, grabbed a sandwich, and rushed out the door to class at three. it seemed to just be one of those days - everyone was tired including petrie so we had a brief discussion until 4:30 and then went back home
- went to the train station to buy our tickets for cinque terre, mailed my postcards, and bought more blood-orange juice
- finally got to talk to krista for about an hour while caryn made me scrambled eggs for our dinner :)
- headed to the boys' apartment to make cheese sticks for dinner part 2. hung out in their living room with caryn, mike and david watching youtube videos, talking, and drinking wine.
- skyped greg who was on the train from liverpool to london until kari came over to get ready
- shwolf night out with caryn and kari. we went back to the red garter (the karaoke bar) and made some new friends: antonio and sebastian. then we decided to move on to the old stove, which is right by the duomo, where we met some guys who were part moroccan so caryn and i got to talk to them in french (their english wasn't so good)! they also bought us roses from a street vendor... they were pretty :)
- got back around 3 and skyped greg until i fell asleep
